INTRODUCTION: Diabetes describes a group of metabolic diseases whereby the patient has high blood glucose. This may occur due to inadequate insulin production or because the body’s cells don not respond properly to insulin or both. Most times patient who have a blood sugar level do experience polyuria (frequent urination), they will become increasingly thirsty (polydipsia) and hungry (polyphagia).
